Sharma started her career at Golin, a global marketing and public relations agency. From there, she went on to work for the city of Chicago, helping to lead the public relations efforts for the city’s booming tourism industry. After that, she expanded her marketing focus to a larger external affairs portfolio and led the Individual Giving team for Teach For America’s Houston office. Over time, her focus centered around leadership and talent development. She had the opportunity to serve as a Managing Director on Teach For America’s National People Partnership and Coaching team where she was an internal executive coach and a strategic advisor on talent and diversity. In 2013, she co-founded a leadership development firm with a focus on activating self-aware, authentic, and courageous leadership.
Sharma is an Associate Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation (ICF), a Certified Leadership and Talent Management Coach through the Workplace Coach Institute, and a Certified Professional Coach through the Center for Coaching Certification. She is also a member of the Forbes Coaches Council and the International Coach Federation.
Sharma specializes in coaching to support executive presence and communication, internal/external self-awareness, values alignment, making courageous/strategic asks, building decision-making skills, getting work done through others, developing and navigating relationships with critical stakeholders, increasing influence and impact, developing management and leadership skills, and overcoming limiting beliefs.
