Dana (she/her) is an Advisor at TalentED Advisors. An action-oriented leader, she is driven to solve multidimensional problems and make people’s lives better. She is the CEO of Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England.
Previously, Dana spent nine years as the Executive Director for the Highlander Institute, overseeing all areas of service and speciality as well as strategic planning and organizational effectiveness. Under her leadership, the Institute grew exponentially and is seen as a national leader in driving instructional equity. Before that, she served in roles at Highlander Charter School, Brown University’s Annenberg Institute for School Reform, University of Massachusetts-Amherst’s college advising team, and residential life at George Washington University.
Dana serves on several city, state and national boards and committees, including Rhode Island’s Commission for National and Community Service. As a foster parent, she facilitates the Foster Parent Advisory Council for the Rhode Island Department of Children, Youth and Families. She is the Chair of the Board for Trinity Academy for Performing Arts (TAPA) and sits on the Executive Board for RI NOW (National Organization of Women). She plays saxophone with the Extraordinary Rendition Band, creating raucous noise for social causes.
Dana earned graduate degrees in anthropology from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and urban education policy from Brown University.
